In the pool house, expansive door and window systems open fully to embrace nature and encourage a cross-breeze as part of the passive cooling principles employed to ease those warm Calistoga afternoons. Inside, the family gathers around vintage pinball machines in the game room, unwinds in a hammock for stargazing on clear nights, and retreats to a treehouse-inspired loft, accessible by an exterior ladder.
As the sun goes down, the fire pit becomes a natural gathering spot, extending outdoor time into the cooler evenings.
