NOE VALLEY / SAN FRANCISCO
Active families with busy teens required a variety of spaces for studying and entertaining. This Noe Valley home was gutted, remodeled and expanded vertically and horizontally to include four bedrooms, four and a half baths, a media room and gym to accommodate the evolving needs of this growing family. The contemporary kitchen is situated between an elevated dining terrace on one side, and a cozy butler’s pantry serving the dining room, on the other. The living room was expanded to allow for entertaining family and friends, and a generous media room on the first floor has a hidden door built within the bookshelf design. Telescoping doors from the media room to the rear garden allow indoor-outdoor living in one of San Francisco’s sunniest neighborhoods. This thoughtful design approach preserves clean lines in this modern home and maintains serenity while surrounded by the animation of daily life.
