NEOCLASSICAL / HILLSBOROUGH
Nestled among the tree-lined streets of Hillsborough, California, this project is a sensitive restoration and modernization of a historic residence. Built in 1912, the home embodies the architectural elegance of its era, featuring Neoclassical details and finely crafted interiors.
Our design approach on the exterior was to restore the historic character of the building, blending new design elements with original details as seen in the windows, doors and balustrades, for a seamless result. Inside, we redesigned the kitchen and three bathrooms to optimize functionality and visual harmony. The public rooms include elegant spaces for entertaining guests along with relaxed, family-friendly areas that exude coastal California charm.
This project demonstrates a commitment to architectural stewardship, enhancing the legacy of a historic residence while preparing it for another century of life in one of California’s most distinguished towns.
